American Champion Aircraft - A direct descendant of the Aeronca 7AC Champ from the early 1940s, the American Champion Citabria Aurora 7ECA is an easy transition to the world of tailwheels. A docile 118-horsepower Lycoming 0-235 engine and fixed pitch propeller make the 7ECA approachable and fun. Although the same base price of its bigger cousin, the 160-horsepower Adventure, the lower fuel burn and better useful load of the Aurora may make it a better choice for those looking for a weekend fun machine. Not to mention, when the itch strikes, it is certificated for basic aerobatics.
